Join the NSCD for our adventurous camps in Colorado’s Front Range or the beautiful Rocky Mountains to experience a wide variety of sports and recreation including horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, rock climbing and more, all while making new friends.
This four-day camp for participants with developmental delays promotes independence and camaraderie. This is not an overnight camp. Laugh and learn while participating in activities such as hiking, archery, NSCD Moves, horseback riding, lake day fun, fishing, and Winter Park Resort activities. Campers are introduced to new skills and activities by highly trained staff. Participants who are not independent in self-care must supply a personal care provider who is available to them throughout the length of the camp.

During this camp athletes will explore the Front Range through a variety of outdoor recreation experiences including canoeing, kayaking, archery, outdoor rock climbing and white-water paddling. At the National Sports Center for the Disabled we rethink ability through personal challenge in the enriching atmosphere of the outdoors. Through these experiences participants can learn important lessons about themselves and others, find new healthy hobbies/activities, increase their overall fitness/quality of life, and meet new friends and have fun.

Learn the basics of mountain biking or prefect your technique. This camp will focus on cross country mountain bike skills and exploration. NSCD has a variety of adaptive bikes to best fit your needs, including power assist hand cycles!
