Join the NSCD for our adventurous camps in Colorado’s Front Range or the beautiful Rocky Mountains to experience a wide variety of sports and recreation including horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, rock climbing and more, all while making new friends.
Alongside highly trained staff, participants will explore the Front Range through a variety of climbing venues including Movement Gym Top Rope/Bouldering and Clear Creek Canyon. Participants will try the sport in a noncompetitive “challenge by choice” environment, allowing them to experience each activity at their own level of comfort. Through these experiences, participants can learn important lessons about themselves, find new healthy hobbies/activities, increase their overall fitness/quality of life, and be in community with others. As a friendly reminder, participants who are not independent in self-care must supply a personal care provider who is available to them throughout the length of the camp.
This overnight camp includes transportation, camping, meals, and guided activities, so you can focus on exploring one of the most iconic outdoor playgrounds in the country. Participants will camp at Hittle Bottom Recreation Site and take on incredible adventures including whitewater rafting on the Moab Daily section of the Colorado River, plus mountain biking and hiking on nearby Bureau of Land Management trails.
Caregiver Information
Participants who require assistance with personal care (toileting, medication management, etc.) must bring a caregiver who remains on site during camp. Caregivers are welcome to join the experience, with a $200 add-on fee that covers their lodging and meals.
