What to expect at a day of NSCD 10M Air Riffle:

  •  Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of your program at the location provided. 

  • Meet your NSCD instructor at Salvation Army Red Shield and get outfitted for your 10m air rifle experience with rifle, pellets, shooting table, tripod, and spotting scope all provided by NSCD. 

  • Athletes will be outfitted with any air rifle adaptations needed to be successful on the range. 

  • Once outfitted, the athletes will be introduced to air rifle range and the safety rules and commands to follow while shooting. It is critical that all participants and staff listen carefully to the safety instructions provided at this time.

  • Athletes will be taught the skills needed to safely experience the sport of archery including aiming, trigger control, sight adjustment, rifle adjustment, and other skills depending on skill level of the athlete. 

  •  Athletes will try sport in a noncompetitive, “challenge by choice” environment allowing them to experience 10m air rifle with on range instruction, full instructor support, and adaptive shooting systems. This will help athletes of any ability be successful and safe when pursuing the sport.  

 
  • Following your program, the NSCD will facilitate a full debrief to cover the skills, goals, and experiences of the days program.

Lake Day Fun - Denver

Come join us for one of our most popular programs, a lake paddle day! During the day at the lake, participants learn water safety and paddling skills in a beautiful environment. Participants can choose from canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. We suggest wearing a swimsuit or shorts and try to avoid wearing jeans or sweats. Participants must wear PFD at all times while participating in the program (the PFD’s will be provided by the NSCD).
